Education is not complete without the medium of mother tongue. The universality of education is possible only through the mother tongue. But the word-formation capacity of the Bengali language is much more than any other language. Therefore, if science education is distributed in Bengali language schools and colleges, colossal waste will be blocked in our education feast.

In the subjugated India, the foreign rulers introduced Western-style education systems for their commercial, administrative, and psychological needs. As a result, government-run educational institutions soon emerged as clerks' factories. Most of the Bengali students who have swallowed English education in the West in the lure of jobs have remained bookish. As much as it is helpful to be a clerk or an employee of the administrative department, it is not possible to develop the inherent strength or complete expression of human talent. After many appeals, entertainments, and movements, when science, engineering, medicine, and technology were introduced in this country, he was imprisoned in an iron box in English on all sides. 

Current Status of Science Education in Bengal: Adverse Argument:

Long after independence and science, medicine, and technology, the English medium has been maintained, ignoring the mother tongue. Once upon a time, due to the efforts of Rabindranath, Sir Ashutosh, and other Bengali language lovers, the study of Bengali language and literature was started in the highest class of the university. But after independence, Bengali language medium students were deprived of the opportunity of honorary and higher education. The arguments in favor of maintaining the sustainability of English medium at the highest level of respect are: one- Bengali's ability to express science is feeble, two- lack of proper terminology for science in Bengali three- lack of fine tradition of science practice in Bengali, four- Bengali The scope of language promotion is limited, but science is an international subject - therefore, its teaching should be conducted through the international language English. In other words, there is no future for Bangla language force science education in the international arena.

Massive potential for mother tongue in science practice:

In response to the arguments, it can be said: One: The range of Bengal's power of science expression is far-reaching and has many potentials. Has been proved. The power of word formation in the Bengali language is infinite. Two- Many Bengali technical terms have been compiled about science. English words and formulas or formulas that have not yet been created and compiled can easily be used in Bengali. Over time, their Bengali synonyms will be formed. Otherwise, English terminology will remain standard. As a result of scientific practice, that Bengali tradition will develop in Bengal as well. Four-English is an international language, and the scope of the Bengali language is narrower than that. It is unreasonable to deprive millions of Bengali-speaking students of science education for this reason alone.

Conclusion:

To make science popular, it is necessary to write books on science in the mother tongue. But who will compose that book? Those who are the scientists, researchers, or teachers of the science of tomorrow, are. Therefore, if science education is to be popular, universal, and assimilated today, then the mother tongue will be the surest key to enter the inner circle of science. Because, we have to remember, 'No matter how mature the son of a Bengali is in English, he has to learn Bengali to complete his education.
